Liquid Coffee Concentrates

All coffee extraction and processing is done at our processing plant located the USA. Liquid Roast Coffee is 100% coffee. Our concentrates do not contain any preservatives or non-coffee additives. When compared with hard to handle frozen or other shelf stable concentrates, the quality of our products prevails. A simple taste test will demonstrate the superiority of our fine coffees.
The existing USA processing plant is currently located in N.E. Florida.
The capacity of Florida coffee concentrate plant exceeds 1,000,000 liters annually. The concept of modular, pre-assembled extraction components allows us to expand production capacity incrementally, as needed to efficiently satisfy the production demands of our entire international client base.

Production & Technology

All of our liquid coffee concentrates are produced from premium grade un-roasted coffee stocks that have been carefully roasted and ground before processing. The production facility where the concentrates are produced meets all existing ISO standards, and is fully automated with state-of-the-art processing equipment.

The process used to brew and extract the coffee solids, concentrate the coffee, and then stabilize the coffee concentrates is proprietary to our group of companies. “PS-CSP” is our unique stabilization process that will extend the shelf life of our products for a minimum of 6 months without the use of refrigeration, high temperature processing, preservatives, or any non-coffee ingredients.

Processing Procedures:

Processing of the concentrate consists of several steps:

• Premium washed arabica coffees are chosen for maximum acidity and flavor.
• These coffees are then roasted to our specifications by master coffee roasters.
• Fresh roasted coffee beans are ground immediately before we begin processing our concentrates.
• The freshly roasted and ground coffee moves through our extraction systems and is processed into concentrate.
• A one-pass extraction, with the infusion of hot water, and a proprietary filtering process, is used to insure that only the highest quality of coffee solids are obtained, without extracting any harsh solids or oils.
• Only the finest 100% Arabica coffees are used in our premier blends to insure maximum quality.
• The aroma infusion is done during the extraction process at a processing temperature that insures complete colloid suspension of solids, thus preventing any separation or stratification of particles.
• Next, the concentrate is stabilized using our proprietary “PF-CSP” process.
• After an extensive cool down period, the product is packaged into the “Bag In Box” units with automatic filling equipment, in a sterile environment.
• All of our coffee concentrates contain 100% pure coffee solids and water.
• No artificial flavors or extenders are added.
• For selected blends, our aroma add-back is a derivative of coffee essence and oils extracted from the coffee bean by a unique process.

Definitions & Information

By definition the term “liquid coffee concentrate” refers to a concentrated 100% brewed coffee product with a high ratio of soluble solids resulting from our proprietary brewing process.
By definition the term “shelf life” refers to that point in the life of a product when there is a discernible negative change in product quality.
The term “shelf life” does not mean the point in time where the product is unfit for human consumption.
If the product is unfit for human consumption, it is considered “spoiled”.
Freshly brewed coffee and liquid coffee concentrates are not naturally shelf stable.
The shelf life of fresh brewed coffee is only about twenty minutes, and the shelf life of un-stabilized coffee concentrates is only a few hours.
Fresh brewed coffee and liquid coffee concentrates will “spoil” or become unfit for consumption within days if they are not handled properly.
At this time, there are only three proven methods for the long-term shelf life extension or “stabilization” of liquid coffee concentrates:
Freezing for long term shelf-life and/or refrigeration for short term shelf-life,
By adding chemicals or preservatives to the liquid coffee concentrate,
“PF-CSP” all-natural, proprietary, stabilization process that results in long-term product stability and extended shelf life without using any refrigeration, preservatives, or non-coffee ingredients.
Shelf Life:

To be commercially marketed on a broad scale basis, and withstand the rigors of handling in the distribution process, “liquid coffee concentrates” need to have a “shelf life” of at least six months, and fit for human consumption (unspoiled) for a period of at least twelve months.

• The term “Shelf Life” is often misused and generally misunderstood.
• “Shelf Life” does not mean: The point in time when the product is no longer fit for consumption.
• The real “Shelf Life” of any food product is determined to be that point in time when there is any noticeable change in flavor quality, or the integrity of the product.
• Our “Shelf Life” tests have shown it will take about five years before the product cannot be used. However, at a five year shelf life there is considerable flavor loss.
• We currently recommend, and label most products with a one-year shelf life at room temperature.
• At the end of one year the product is still safe for consumption, but there will be a slight loss of flavor profile, which increases with time.
• To insure the very highest coffee flavor profile and maximum aroma, products are best used within 180 days of production. Production dates are stamped on each container.
